©ough©ool Macabre aesthetic draws the goth in me & the synth fan in me can't get enough of those horror vibes. Truly a standout artist. The rhythm & punchy synths envelope you completely, while the cadence contorts & you find yourself outpaced or delayed. It's a wonderfully confusing hypnotism Favorite track: Afterlife.

Odder The more I listen to the album, the more I want to spin it! VVMPYRE offers a diverse yet cohesive experience throughout, and demonstrates a broad musical knowledge. Composition and mix are great, and all i can do is dance, and listen to it over and over! Favorite track: ...And All I Could Do Was Dance.

FoxPuppy VV's name indicates a gothic sound, and those are definitely present in this EP, but don't be fooled, there's influence from so many genres ranging from classic dance to symphonic filmscore on this release, plenty of talented guest artists, and atmosphere galore.

Dimi Kaye If the movie Blade was being shot today, the intro scene in the club would have one of these songs right here.

Intoxicating, entrancing, dark, goth, vogue, everything is here and more. Start with the song Afterlife and it'll put you in the mood immediately.

Fantastic release! Favorite track: Afterlife.

about

No one can deny that VVMPYRE had an interesting 2021. Starting as a Darksynth artist that meshed Cyberpunk and horror undertones, slowly shifting into the Darkwave dancefloor commander. Perhaps nothing summarizes this more than his debut EP, "Music from the Afterlife City Club", a collection of tracks that summarize this era. Tracks ranging from Synthwave with warping, experimental synths esque of Industrial ("Bodies Without Blood"), Darksynth with guitar and fiddle solos ("...And All I Could Do Was Dance"), and a classic Electrogoth dancefloor closer. ("Afterlife")

All of these sounds are held together by VVMPYRE's signature blend of horror orchestral elements and heavy EBM drums. Inspired by the 90's Electrogoth of acts such as Midnight Configuration, Faithful Dawn, and Suspiria, the anonymous producer takes his passion for these sounds and blends them with elements of classic horror, Synthwave and a touch of Metal. The result is a debut collection of tracks that showcases the potential of VVMPYRE going forward. It only goes darker from here...
