BLOO-D's journey as the producer of the VVMPYRE project has been a strange one. Between appearances, disappearances, returns, and recently an upcoming addition to VVMPYRE's lineup, it's easy to lose track of any of it. But one thing has always remained true: BLOO-D has continued to remain the dark dancefloor commander. Even if the format changes, "Guess Who's Back" continues to prove that.

Taking the form of a Goth "Mixtape", BLOO-D throws mashups, unofficial remixes, and a new collab to deliver a new soundtrack to your nightmares just in time for the spooky season. The variety of styles would be off-putting if not for BLOO-D's signature horror orchestra and Gothic guitars being omnipresent throughout. Even the mashups bring in versions of these elements, and "Witness to a Vampire" is a return to the Darksynth instrumentals of the early singles.

The consistent sounds and variety make for an equal amount of interesting flips in the track choices used. "Model Citizen" gets a barrage of guitar riffs, "Make Me Better" gets a surprisingly uplifting Synthwave bootleg, and even BLOO-D's mentors Corlyx get an interesting mashup with the help of the Team Dark theme from Sonic Heroes on "This Machine's Raindrops". The end result is a combination of sounds that remains true to BLOO-D's sound while fueling the creativity that shaped the dark dancefloor commander in the first place.
